The PPWR Regulation – See What’s Changing
As of 12 August 2026, the PPWR (Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation) is in effect across the entire European Union, introducing new requirements for packaging design, recyclability, and reducing material use. The regulation applies directly in all member states, though not all requirements take effect on the same date — further provisions will be phased in gradually through 2028–2030.
